Bio
Greenlight the Bombers formed as SixtyFootTime in 1998, moving forward with the aggressive and angular sound bands like Drive Like Jehu and Steel Pole Bathtub helped develop. Between '98 and 2002, they released 3 EPs on Pencil Neck Records and were included on various compilation CDs including Live 105’s Local Lounge Volume 3. Shows during this period included bay area venues such as Bottom of the Hill, The Cocodrie, CW Saloon, and 924 Gilman.

After a year long hiatus in 2003, Greenlight returned to the SF bay area noiserock scene with a new bass player and a new enthusiasm. They do local shows about once a month, playing SF venues such as the Hemlock Tavern, Edinburgh Castle, and Thee Parkside. In August 2004, they took their first out-of-state adventure up to Oregon and Washington to promote their most recent EP - American Executive. Their newer material incorporates their earlier mathy post-hardcore sound but breaks away with heavier tones and more emphasis on structure rather than guitar noodling. The Jehu/Fugazi comparisons still exist, but Greenlight the Bombers have a sound of their own now. They plan to release a second batch of new material in spring 2005 with western US tour dates to follow.
